About This Place

Nestled in the heart of Granite City, Illinois, Doit's Village Inn stands out as more than just your typical bar and grill—it’s a vibrant local hub where community spirit and genuine hospitality come alive. Located at 4015 Pontoon Rd, this lively spot is a beacon for both longtime regulars and newcomers seeking an authentic neighborhood experience.

Step inside, and you’ll immediately feel the warmth radiating from the welcoming staff, a sentiment echoed by patrons like High Roller Roux who praised bartender PJ for making everyone feel like family. It’s clear that the heart of Doit's Village Inn lies in its people, where genuine connections are forged over expertly crafted drinks and shared laughter.

The drink menu caters expertly to all tastes, featuring crowd favorites such as Jose Cuervo tequila, the crisp Blue Moon Belgian White, refreshing Coors Light, and smooth Jack Daniels. Whether you’re unwinding after work or gearing up for a night out, the bar delivers an impressive variety that complements any mood.

But Doit's Village Inn is far from just a drinks destination. The bar-grill element shines through with standout food options like the spicy and cheesy Pepper Jack Chicken Sandwich and their beloved tacos, which provide the perfect, flavor-packed bites to accompany your favorite beverage. Joshua Hampton’s praise of the hearty, home-style specials—particularly the Thursday lunch offerings—speaks to the authentic and comforting culinary touch you can expect here.

What truly elevates Doit's Village Inn is its dynamic weekend atmosphere, described by Caleb Soden as "always jumping," complete with a magnetic mix of friendly faces, great music, and community events. Their fireworks show, considered even better than major city celebrations, underlines their commitment to providing memorable experiences beyond just food and drink. And for music lovers, Gwen Campbell highlights the "most awesome live bands" that regularly grace the stage, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a night filled with rhythms and good company.

Customers consistently commend the welcoming vibe extended by everyone, including the owner Doit himself, making every visit feel like coming home. Douglas Dukeman's story of traveling over 100 miles just to soak in the vibrant energy and savor the "awesome" food attests to the rare and special place this inn holds within the community.

In sum, Doit's Village Inn is a rare gem—a place where excellent drinks, satisfying comfort food, live entertainment, and heartfelt hospitality converge to create an experience that lingers well beyond the last pour. Whether you're craving a well-made cocktail, a flavorful taco, or simply a lively evening with friends, Doit's Village Inn promises a genuine taste of Granite City’s warm and spirited culture.

This place has the best bartenders around. I have not tried their food so that I don't know. The most awesome live bands come through Doits Village Inn.

Doit's Village Inn. What can I say negative about this place. Absolutely nothing. I've been going into this bar for numerous years. And I've always been welcomed with a smile from the bar tender , too the kitchen cooks , to the customers. 5 stars for the food. 5 stars for The cook at Village inn, Mr gravy. One of the nicest men you will ever meet.. I met 2 gentlemen while shooting pool just 2 days ago. And shot pool with them and chatted for 4 hrs and enjoyed myself. I've made many of friends here. If you have never been here then you need to stop in, play there slots 5 stars, have some drinks 5 stars order some food 5 stars. Thank you every one.

Very nice and relaxing atmosphere with so much history and what I call artifacts, displays all about the tavern. The kitchen closes early but the food is good and fresh. The music is always a treat, yet; loud and crowded can be a distraction for some.
